Service & Maintenance
Air conditioning not working or ineffective?
Our service engineers can quickly diagnose faults and supply a written quotation to repair or replace existing equipment.
We carry out service and repair on a wide range of equipment including but not limited to Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Toshiba, Hitachi, Fujitsu, LG, Sharp, Samsung and Panasonic units throughout Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and neighbouring counties.
Please note that addition of refrigerant to systems that have suffered leaks can only be carried out once the source of the leak has been identified and repaired.
Air Source Heat Pump Service and Maintenance
We also maintain and repair domestic air source heat pumps. Follow the link for information on heat pump servicing and maintenance.
We are able to take care of scheduled maintenance of customer's plant according to Manufacturer's requirements. This is essential to ensure equipment is operating efficiently thus reducing electricity costs and extending equipment life.
All service records and maintenance history is maintained electronically on our customer data base allowing recurring issues to be tracked and resolved.
The Importance of Air Conditioning Servicing
There are three main reasons why it is important to have your AC system cleaned. Firstly to improve efficiency; as your system circulates air through its coils, dirt builds up on the fins creating an insulating barrier which affects heat transfer. The compressor has to compensate for this extra work which reduces the life of your unit and increases running costs by up to 30%. If not treated for extended periods coils can become heavily soiled to a point that restricts airflow entirely and is, in some cases, impossible to repair. Secondly, a build up of dirt will eventually block a system’s condensate drain, causing water to overflow during operation which can damage furnishings and require redecoration. Finally, a dirty evaporator coil and a moist environment around the condensation tray is an ideal breeding ground for bacteria; which due to the large volume of air that passes through your system can lead to bad smells and poor indoor air quality if not treated. This is why we utilise our 7 step cleaning process during your service maintenance visit, during which your evaporator coil is chemically treated and flushed.
Our asset management service allows owners of plant to know the type, age and service state of installed equipment. This information is vital when forward planning future budgets.
R22 Phase Out
In January 2015 it became an offence to maintain or service air conditioning systems using R22 gas. If you have an existing R22 unit click here for more information on how it will affect you.
